- Small shallow bowl
- Apple cider vinegar
- Dish soap
- Plastic wrap
Instruction on How to Get Rid of Fruit Flies Fast
- Pour 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar into the shallow bowl.
- Add a couple of pumps of dish soap.
- Now cover the bowl in a plastic wrap tightly and then poke a couple of holes with a chopstick or skewer.
- Put this bowl where you find the most fruit flies and gnats flying around. These gnats are attracted to the smell of apple cider vinegar. The plastic wrap ensures the gnats don’t fly out but the dish soap also prevents them from flying out. If you don’t have plastic wrap you can set this trap up without it.
- Now sit back and wait to see how many gnats you catch the next day.
Bonus Tip: To be honest the most important thing is to keep your drains clean and toss any molded fruits and vegetables.
