Japanese Pickled Turmeric
When I eat sushi I love eating the pickled ginger that comes with the sushi. Not too many people know this, but the pickled ginger that comes with your sushi is meant to act as a palate cleanser. If you like pickled ginger, then you'll LOVE this Japanese pickled Turmeric Recipe.

- 1 cup Turmeric (sliced)
- 2 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 cup rice vinegar (unseasoned)
- 1/2 cup sugar (cane sugar)
How to pickle pickled turmeric in 20 minutes.
In a pot, add the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Boil until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool down for a few minutes.
Put the turmeric into a glass jar, transfer the pickling liquid into a glass jar
Let it cool completely and then close the lid and refrigerate.
Enjoy after 1-2 days of pickling!
