Tomales Bay Weekend Getaway: Our mini-vacation at Stemple Creek Ranch Tomales bay
Today we’re making our way back to Point Reyes to stay at a little ranch Doug found called Stemple Creek ranch. At this ranch, they raise their cattle on the property, rent out cottages for stay, and sell their meat! In the 1850s, early American settlers found that the cool, moist climate of the land in Point Reyes made it the ideal location for raising cows, which is why you’d typically find many cattle ranches, dairy farms, thus making it famous for producing cheese. It’s a quieter part of California but it was almost felt like we were in a slice of Ireland. The coastal views and rolling green hills were unbeatable. We had so much fun staying on the property as well as visiting a bunch of other local spots such as Tomales bay, hog island for oysters, Dillion beach, etc. The kids had the best time running around in the woods and we can’t wait to visit again!
